Avant Skincare: what to know before you buy
The story
Avant was founded in Old Street, London, in 2016. It describes itself as a luxury skincare brand that blends natural ingredients with science. Its idea of skincare-to-share means products designed to work for everyone, with no gender, skin colour or ethnicity attached.
Consultant dermatologist Dr Emma McMullen is an official endorser and helps pick ingredients.
The range
Avant sells cleansers, day and night creams, eye care, serums, masks, exfoliators and sun protection, plus fragrance and some hair care. Hyaluronic acid products are the brand’s hydration line, and there are ritual sets that bring several steps together. A Sensitive Skincare collection is fragrance-free.
Avant says it does not use the words organic or natural, because they have no consistent meaning, so read the ingredient list.
The clinic
