adidas: what to know before you buy

What does adidas sell on its UK site?

adidas sells shoes, clothing and accessories for men, women and kids, organised by sport (football, running, gym and training, tennis, golf, rugby, basketball and outdoor) and by collection. Its collections include Originals and street styles such as the Samba, Gazelle, Campus and Spezial, while Performance lines such as Adizero running shoes are made for sport. Size charts cover shoes and clothing, with tall and short fits in some clothing. For rugby kit from a rugby specialist, Canterbury of New Zealand is another option.

Does adidas sell padel kit?

Yes. Its UK site sells padel rackets, including the Drive, alongside padel bags and padel shoes for adults and kids. For a first racket, our guide to choosing a beginner padel racket compares the Drive with cheaper and lighter rackets.

How does delivery work?

adidas.co.uk delivers only within the UK, by Royal Mail or Evri, with collection from a Royal Mail post office, express delivery in eligible areas and pickup from an adidas store. It doesn’t deliver to PO boxes, BFPO addresses or the Channel Islands. adiClub members get standard delivery without a charge, and other shoppers see the charge and any spend threshold at checkout. Stores can’t hold the whole online range, so an item from the online shop can be reserved for pickup in a store.

How do returns work?

Online orders can go back by post from a drop-off point or locker, or to an adidas store with the order number, within the window on its returns page. Items need to be in good condition with any tags attached and in their original packaging. Personalised items can only be returned with a manufacturing defect, some limited items have a shorter return window that shows when ordering, and in-store purchases can’t be returned by post. Refunds go to the original payment method or an e-gift card, and Klarna handles refunds on Klarna orders.

How do codes and payment work?

A code goes in through “Enter promo code” under the order summary in the shopping bag, or on the delivery page, and can’t be added once an order is placed. Codes can’t be combined with other promotions, so when a reduced price and a code both apply, adidas uses whichever gives the bigger discount; exclusive items are left out of promotions, and codes don’t work in the CONFIRMED app. Payment is by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or adidas gift card, with Klarna and Clearpay for spreading the cost. Other shops stock adidas too, among them Viaduct Clothing, a casual sportswear shop that also carries Reebok and Kappa.

Questions about adidas

Are there any adidas discount codes?

We don't currently list a confirmed discount code. That doesn't mean the store has no promotions; check its website for current prices.

What is the difference between adidas performance and Originals ranges?

Performance lines such as Adizero and the running and training categories are built around sport and movement, while Originals, Samba, Gazelle and Campus are styled for everyday wear.

How do I choose the right adidas size?

The site links to size charts, so check the chart for the specific product before ordering, as cut and fit can differ between collections.

Who handles my order?

You complete your purchase with the retailer. For order changes, delivery questions or a refund, contact the seller shown on your order confirmation. Vouchernaut publishes shopping guides and offers; we don't process your purchase.

Shoppers' questions

Questions about adidas, answered by us and by readers who've shopped there.

  1. Does adidas deliver to Ireland?

    Our answer

Not from adidas.co.uk. Its delivery page says adidas.co.uk can only ship to the United Kingdom, and its help page says that to have an order delivered to another country, you order from that country's own adidas site.

  2. Does adidas do an NHS or Blue Light discount?

    Our answer

Yes, through two schemes. Health Service Discounts, which is free for NHS and healthcare staff, lists an online adidas discount on selected full-price items. Blue Light Card lists an adidas discount for its members: NHS staff, police, armed forces, teachers, social care workers, emergency services staff and eligible retired staff. Blue Light Card costs £4.99 for two years; members log in, search for adidas and follow its link to the offer.

  3. Does adidas do a student discount?

    Our answer

Yes. adidas gives students 15% off when they verify their student status with UNiDAYS. UNiDAYS lists the 15% online and in selected adidas stores for university students with a verified UNiDAYS account, and says the discount usually applies to full-price items, with some exclusions.

  4. What is the adidas returns policy?

    Our answer

Returns are free within 30 calendar days of receiving an online order, or 14 days for some exclusive items, which shows when ordering. Items must be in good condition with tags on and in their original packaging, with shoes in the shoe box. Start a return on the website or app and drop the parcel at a Royal Mail drop-off point or locker, or take online items to an adidas store with your order number. Store purchases can't be returned by post. Personalised items can only go back with a manufacturing defect. Refunds to the original payment method can take up to 14 calendar days.
