Fix-A-Floor: what to know before you buy
The story
Fix-A-Floor began in 2008 in Florida, when its founders kept finding loose and hollow flooring while renovating homes. Every DIY shop told them the answer was to rip the floor up and start again, so they spent years developing a way to repair it in place. The result was a patented tip small enough to reach holes only a couple of millimetres wide. The company says it is sold internationally.
The product
The adhesive goes through small holes drilled in the grout lines and bonds the tile or board back to the floor underneath. The company says it cures with a flexible finish, which makes it suitable over underfloor heating and for wooden floors that expand and contract through the year. It comes in bottles, squeezable tubes and larger tubs for bigger jobs, with caulking guns, syringe kits and other applicators sold separately.
More to browse
The UK shop also stocks the Red Devil range of sealants, fillers and decorating tools, repair kits for tile, wood and laminate floors, and tile grout. It publishes step-by-step guides for fixing loose tiles and squeaky wood floors, and runs a stockist locator if you'd rather buy in person.
Delivery
Orders placed before noon on weekdays are dispatched the same day. Standard delivery normally arrives in a few working days, and an express option is available for next working day delivery. Free standard UK delivery applies above a low order value that is shown on the site.
Saving
Larger tubs and multi-packs generally cost less per bottle than buying singles, and the shop invites bulk enquiries. Any live code is listed on this page: copy it and enter it at checkout.
Returns
Tell Fix-A-Floor in writing that you want to return an unwanted item, then ask customer services for a return number before posting it back. Goods need to be unused and in their original packaging, and return postage is at your cost. If something arrives damaged, contact the team promptly.
