Shopping with Steam

Use Steam when you want the purchase, library, updates and refund request handled through one account. Check the exact edition, operating-system support and any third-party account requirement on the product page before paying.

Steam's published refund route applies to eligible purchases made through Steam; it does not turn a key bought from another retailer into a Steam retail purchase. Check the current policy rather than assuming every DLC, bundle or in-game purchase follows the same conditions.

For hardware, treat a waitlist, reservation and completed order as different stages. Confirm the complete basket, delivery timing and compatibility from your own signed-in account.
