Vision Direct: shoppers' questions

Questions about Vision Direct, answered by us and by readers who've shopped there.

  1. Does Vision Direct deliver to Ireland?

    Our answer

Yes. Vision Direct has an Irish site, visiondirect.ie, priced in euros. Its Ireland delivery page gives delivery in 2 to 3 business days, free and tracked on orders of €59 and over, and €3.98 on orders below €59.

  2. Is Vision Direct legit?

    Our answer

Vision Direct is run by Vision Direct BV, registered in the Netherlands (KvK number 59729643) with its registered office in Amsterdam. For UK orders, the dispensing service is supplied by Vision Dispensing Ltd, registered in England (company number 03912575). Vision Direct was founded in 2004, joined Essilor in 2016 and has warehouses in York and Spain. It takes credit and debit cards and PayPal. Unopened lenses in their original packaging can be returned within 365 days for a refund, and UK returns are free.

  3. How much is Vision Direct delivery?

    Our answer

Vision Direct delivers next day on in-stock items ordered by 10pm, Monday to Sunday. Next day delivery is free and tracked on orders of £59 and over, and costs £3.98 on orders below £59. A few postcodes take longer: GY, HS and JE add 2 days and IM adds 1 day. Orders aren't split, so it ships once every item is ready.

  4. Does Vision Direct do a student discount?

    Our answer

Yes. Vision Direct gives students a discount through Student Beans: verify your student status with Student Beans, which is free, then apply the discount at checkout. Its student page says new customers get 15% off and existing customers 6% off, across its full range of contact lenses, including daily, two-weekly, monthly and coloured lenses. It can't be combined with other discounts, and only one can be used per order.
