Direct Running sells running and trail gear online: road and trail shoes for men and women, running clothing, hiking kit, watches and other gear, and sports nutrition. Brands on its site include adidas, Nike, Saucony, Mizuno, New Balance, Puma, Garmin, Merrell and Patagonia. Its help centre says every product is genuine and supplied only by the official manufacturers and distributors. Some of those brands also sell direct, such as adidas, and more running and outdoor shops are in sports and outdoors.
Direct Running started at the end of 2019 and belongs to Spacefoot, a French sports e-commerce group that also runs shops for cycling, padel, golf, trekking and other sports. Spacefoot SAS is registered in Levallois-Perret, France, and its warehouses and customer service are in Montlouis-sur-Loire. UK orders go by FedEx with tracking, and the delivery time for each item shows on its product page once a size is picked, with the charge at checkout. Its terms say UK prices include VAT but aren't consistent about import duties, so customer service can confirm the position before an order is placed.
Returns are started online, from the order in the account or on the returns page, for items that are unworn and unused, in their original packaging with the labels on. The time allowed for a change of mind is set out on its returns page. The shopper pays the return postage unless the item is faulty or not what was ordered, in which case customer service sends a prepaid label once it has checked the claim. Refunds go back to the original payment method by default, or as store credit if preferred. There are no direct swaps for a different size or colour, so the usual route is to return the item and order again. Personalised items can't be returned, and damage in transit has to be reported within a few working days of delivery, with photos.
A code goes in the promo code field in the basket, followed by Apply. Its terms say a code is single use, can't be passed on and can't be combined with another code, and some codes cover only certain brands or need a minimum spend, so the terms beside each code here are worth reading. Payment is by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay or PayPal, including PayPal's option to pay in four instalments for those who are eligible. Any live code from Direct Running's affiliate programme is listed on this page.
We currently list 10 discount codes. Check each offer's terms, country and expiry date before using it. The retailer confirms eligibility at checkout.

Not directly. Direct Running doesn't swap sizes or colours, so the item goes back as a return and the new size is a new order.

Skiset rents skis and snowboards from shops close to ski lifts across Europe. It suits skiers who want equipment ready on arrival rather than hauling their own kit, with a range covering beginners to experts, snowboards and dedicated children's gear.

This is Snowrental, a French ski and snowboard hire booking site that has been running since 2004. You pick your resort, dates and who needs kit, then book skis, boards, boots and helmets online to collect in resort.

Water to Go sells reusable filtered water bottles with replaceable filters, aimed at travel and outdoor use. The range centres on bottles in several sizes, with separate filters, lids and accessories to buy as the need arises.

Alexandra Sports is a running specialist with stores in Portsmouth and Christchurch, known for gait analysis and fitting trainers to individual biomechanics. Its range spans running shoes, insoles and running clothing, alongside in-store podiatry, physiotherapy and custom insole services for runners and walkers alike.

aZengear sells a practical mix of repair patches, survival kit and compression wear, built around extending the life of gear you already own. The range leans towards fixes for jackets, shoes and tents, plus support socks and sleeves for runners and walkers. Here is where it earns a place in your basket and where to look elsewhere.

Bern makes helmets for cycling, snow sports, skating and watersports, with a range that leans towards classic, street-inspired styling. The Macon, Watts and Brentwood families are the core lines to look at. Most helmets in the range are sold alongside MIPS or non-MIPS versions, so the first decision is usually the sport and the protection spec.

Blue Tomato is an online shop built around snow, surf, skate and streetwear. It suits shoppers who want board equipment alongside casual clothing and accessories, all from one place rather than separate sports retailers.
