A PC game key is a code that unlocks a game on Steam, Epic or another launcher, sold by the launcher itself, authorised key shops and marketplaces. Steam is the simplest buy, Green Man Gaming, Fanatical and Gamesplanet are worth it for the same authorised key for less, and G2A means vetting a marketplace seller.
Steam Next Fest is Valve's free demo festival for unreleased PC games, held three times a year, with 2027 editions from 22 February to 1 March and 14 to 21 June. Six demos in two hours tell you more than twenty downloads.
GTA 6 is Rockstar's next Grand Theft Auto, out on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026. There's no PC release date yet, and until Rockstar names one, anything sold as a PC copy is a risk.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation is the final part of Square Enix's three-game remake of the 1997 RPG, out on PC and consoles on 8 April 2027. If you haven't played Remake and Rebirth, finish those first; if you have, the standard edition is the sensible pre-order.
Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of Atlus's small-town murder-mystery RPG, out on 18 February 2027 on Steam, Windows, Xbox, PS5 and Game Pass. The standard edition is the one to buy; the bundles can wait until UK prices and contents are out.
State of Decay 3 is Undead Labs' open-world survival sequel, coming to Steam, Xbox and PS5 in 2027 with shared-world co-op for up to four. It's not one to preorder yet: the co-op rules that decide whether four copies work together aren't out.
Metro 2039 is 4A Games' next Metro shooter, out on 4 February 2027 on Steam, Epic, PS5 and Xbox. It's worth wishlisting now, but a new GPU can wait until 4A publishes the real PC specs.
Resident Evil Veronica is Capcom's remake of Code: Veronica, coming to Steam, PS5, Xbox and Switch 2 in 2027 with no day, price or PC specs yet. It's one to wishlist, and nobody can sell you a real PC preorder until Capcom opens orders.
Fable is Playground Games' open-world fantasy RPG, out on 23 February 2027 on PC, Xbox and PS5. Game Pass is the cheapest way to play, the standard edition is the one to own, and Premium only pays if you want its undated expansion.
The big PC games of 2027 are Metro 2039, Persona 4 Revival and Fable (all in February), Final Fantasy VII Revelation in April, and Resident Evil Veronica and State of Decay 3 later. Most are still wishlist-not-preorder: buy the one you'll start on day one and let the rest wait for reviews.
